I just brought home my new yorky puppy. He is about 11 week old. I'm crate training and have been introducing him to it all day. We've done 5 minute intervals, in which he falls asleep before the five minutes are up. I open the door after five minutes even if he's still asleep. I will begin to lengthen the time tomorrow. I was told to crate him at night. However, when I put him in there, he whined for about 20 minutes. He settled down and I when to him and took him out(only after he settled). How can I soothe him at night without taking him out? I know this night is going to be very hard but I want to have an idea for tomorrow night.
