I had to restore my iPhone 4s so it would be unlocked (no, I haven't done anything illegal it's how my phone company has said to do it). Before I did this I backed up my iPhone. I had issues during my restore and I had to restore again, during this time it did another back up when there was virtually nothing on my iPhone. At the moment after syncing in iTunes I've recovered all of my music ( because it's on iTunes) however I am missing all of my photos from my camera roll and contacts. In particular I need the photos back from my old camera roll. I didn't import them into iPhoto because I assumed an iTunes back up would be enough (obviously not). When I looked on the Apple site they said to find previous back ups to go: Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/. However when I get into Application Support there is no MobileSync folder. I can't even find it when I search my entire mac.
So my question is, can someone please help me retrieve the PREVIOUS iTunes backup and put it on my iPhone so I have all of my photos and contacts back?
I have a Macbook Pro running on version 10.6.8. iTunes is version 10.6.3. iPhone 4s is 6.0.1.
Also, I'm not a technical expert, therefore it would be appreciated if the advice given was written in a way that I can understand. Thanks
