How do I save my progress on my Gameboy?

I have a Gameboy micro and I can create a save game and save my progress on most of the games. However everytime I switch off the Gameboy and put it back on all my save games are gone. Can anyone please tell me how can I save games and resume them when I turn on my GBA again.

The Gameboy Micro saves games exactly the same as any other handheld Gameboy device. While it varies from game to game, all you should have to do is save the game as you stated above. If it's not there once you turn the Gameboy back on, there may be a problem with the cartridge itself, as it's internal memory may be damaged or simply old. Remember, the saving isn't done on the Gameboy itself, it's all written into the cartridge.
