How do I ship my sold eBay item?

I just sold my first ebay item, and I have never shipped anything before.
What do I do? I know I have to wait until the payment is cleared, that's a no brainer.
But. I don't have a printer at home.
How do I get the label? Can I print it/ buy it at the post office?
Do I bring the item to the post office, and have it packaged there?
If there's anything else I should know, please include it in your answer!

You have to find a box the right size, you have to find packing material even newspaper is OK, bubble wrap is better. You have to weigh it. How did you charge for shipping? Yes, you must wait until payment clears.

You dont need a printer. You can write the label by hand and take it to post office. Post office does not do packaging for you. ( lol) That would be a shipping center but they charge for that. Are you physically unable to pack up a box? You'd better learn. Buy delivery tracking for 80 cents to show item was sent in case buyer claims he didnt get it. Be sure to ship Parcel Post if it is heavy.

Tip: Dont buy packing materials. Find them in the trash or Craigslist Free Stuff or re-use the packing materials other people ship to you.
