I think you should do that NOW. You should have only one anti-virus program on your PC but you can also use Malwarebytes. It's good and they have a free version. http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free Chrome and Firefox are far superior to IE. (I've heard the most recent version of IE is good but you have to have Windows 7 to use it - I think.)
