How do I stop my 9 month old from screaming when putting him in his hi chair?
My babies all did this too. My advice is to not let his screaming and protesting get to you. He's just wanting his independence. Calmly insist he sits there, and it might help to put something REALLY interesting on his high chair tray so he forgets about writhing and complaining, and wants to sit there to look at the thing (it could be a favorite book or toy). Then, when he's interested in the object, you slip the food onto the tray. Make sure you don't leave him in there for too long. That could be why he hates it. If all else fails, let him eat on your lap for a while.
