How do I take the pictures from my Telus LG Keybo phone and put them on my computer?

I plugged it into my computer using the USB cable required but my computer says I either need to download soft wear/hard wear (cant remember) or nothing at all happens.
Ive tried going to my computer to open it up but there's nothing there. This is frustrating?!
they never gave me any software with my phone... ? where would I find it
