advice can you give me? My son is seven years old. I'd signed temporary guardianship of him, over to my (then) sister- in- law and her husband and he's been there for a year and a half or so now. The temporary guardianship was signed in a school district building, was only so that they could enroll him into the school there and was not court ordered. Recently, we'd done a paternity test and the results showed that my (ex now) husband was/is NOT the father. I've since then split with my husband and moved off to my brother's city, which is still in the same state as my child. My ex sister- in-law and her husband are planning to move by early October, but are refusing to give me the new address. I have custody of my son and they only have temporary guardianship (which in the state of Texas, expires within 60 days from the date it was signed). My questions here are... What are my rights? What can I legally do to get my son back? And also, what could they possibly do in court, if there is NO blood relation?
