How do I test to see if someone is a troll (internet troll)?

I recently started talking to someone online. She seems pretty cool but I can't shake the feeling it's my exwife posing as a made up chickie.. I'm good at spotting identity theives.. because that's obvious.. but my ex wife is very good and deception. and this would be well within her typical behavior. One way i thought to test to see if it is her without messing up a possible friendship..is my ex wife is in the eastern time zone..the new girl.claims to be in central.. I thought i could casually ask for the time mid convo..
that would be a big big flag that it might be my ex.. Does anyone have any other good ways i could test?

If you're paranoid, then you're doing something silly. Try meeting someone locally, craigslist has a lot of cool ways to hook up with locals that you can meet at local bars/restaurants to verify their reality after a few conversations online.

This is why I love web cams. You can lie on the computer easily, but it is hard to lie on a web cam.

Ok..she doesn't have a webcam. Have her pose in a weird pose..such as sticking out a tongue and making a peace sign. or something odd so that you know..she took that photo just for you.

Get really into it. Ask her all about herself. Maybe get a pic from her.

Find out all you can, then see if her qualities are similar to your ex's. Then you will know.
