How do I upload music from my computer onto my LG Chocolate Flip phone from Telus?

I have a "microSD" card along with the USB to upload music with. I have put songs onto the card. They show up on my sync list...but once I put the card back into my cell, the songs are no where to be found. I have tried searching the net for answers, but haven't come up with any. Can anyone help me out??
