I thought I'd try out BitTorrent to download a whole album. I've got the torrent and i've put it in BitTorrent and it says it's started downloading but nothing is happening? It says that there is 0% downloaded and i don't know what to do, help?

Follow the instructions of the first post. It may be due to firewall problems and/or ISP service.

Make sure to check that the torrent is not a fake and has a good seed to leech ratio.

you need to make sure that the torrent has a good seed to leach ratio.

here is a whole article on what you NEED to know BEFORE you download.

If the icon in the status bar at the bottom is red you prob need to allow the program through your firewall and also enable port forwarding on your router, this website has step by step instructions on how to do this.

Yep, Port forward. Very easy to do its worthwhile doing.

Also when you search for your torrent, always sort the results by amount of seeds. Click on the seeds column on your torrent website eg. mininova.org. If there are a tiny amount of seeds then your in for a slow download.

Always read the comments and ratings on a torrent if any.

Also you should try out uTorrent as your bittorrent client. Its a tiny tiny download packed with features, you can even run it off your usb stick at work or school!

I hope i've cleared some things up.
