Hi there, like anyone else i dont wanna go to jail so could someone please explain to me how to use BitTorrent legally? the specific version im using is 7.2 by the way. I hear that downloading stuff is legal because people are techinically sharing their files with you and not selling it but that uploading stuff and been the sharer is (correct me if im wrong). I got this quote from an answer to a question "is pirate bay legal?" and the answer is as follows "

so wat tthe hell is torrent client? does that mean making it available for others to download from me? On bit torrent, theres a file that has alrady been fully downloaded saying 3.6 kb/s in the "Upload Speed" category, also the same file say 3.05 GB in the "Uploaded" category. if it does mean im making it available to others to download, how to i stop that? also can u please explain the finer details of the legalities to torrent files for me please?
