How do I use my own mp3 files as ringtones on my Samsung Solstice 2?

Is there a way for me to use songs I already have as ringtones on my Samsung Solstice 2? I have software to edit them and make them small enough and short clips, but I don't know how to transfer them so they will work as ringtones, not just music files on the phones music player. Any help?
