How do I watch a movie with xvid?

So I'm trying to watch the new version of Fright Night on my computer. I went to the website watch-movies.net and clicked on one of the links to watch it. When I click on the link a video player comes up and says I need to install the xvid codec player. So I installed it, and when I still click on the link the movie won't play. What the heck do I do to watch the movie???
