Your BluRay player has different signal strengths than your Sat receiver or xbox.Try hooking up your DVD player in place of the Sat box and calibrate the input and get away from the factory settings.Then attach the sat receiver.  While you wont have the fixed test-patterns, having done the calibration with the DVD should give you an eye of what to look for and you fine tune the levels for the Sat receiver.</blockquote>
