I think put it between your index finer and thumb
but also yu can also put it on the floor so the dog can get it on its own
my friend has a dog and she put the treats on the ground.
 
Do you put it on the palm of your hand and let them lick it off, or do you put it between your thumb and index finger and put it by their mouth?
