How do you fight the urge to talk to someone?

Long story. But basically me and this guy who has been my close friend for a long time now have made a pact to stop talking, because he's bestfriends with my boyfriend and well you get the idea.
But everytime he's online on facebook I really want to talk to him, it's so hard.. I just want to make an excuse or just say anything to talk to him cos I feel unfinished.
What should I do? :/ He's like a brother to me I love him in a brotherly-sisterly way cos hes gaven me lots of advice about everything and I don't want to loose that. But i cant speak to him :/
How do I stop thinking about it? It's really hurting me.
 
WHAT THE HELL!! you dont have to stop talking to him cuz ur bf is his friend. just explain to ur bf that he is only yours friend. if he doesnt understand dump him cuz thats absolutley insane to just stop talking to your friend
 
he dowsnt know that u feel that way whenu talk to him, and if u were close brfore, this shouldnt stop u, so just talk the next time u see him on facebook,
