How do you gain a sense of humour?

I am in middle school and most of my classmates are HILARIOUS. But me... not so much. I mean I might make someone giggle every once in a while, but that's it. And because of that, it is hard for me to make friends because they expect everyone to be funny. Please give me some tips. :) Thanks
