How do you get a bluetooth headset to pair with the playstation 3?

I just got a new bluetooth headset to use with my playstation3 . I cant found out how to pair the headset. The user guide just tells how to pair it to a cell phone. The playstation 3 user guide does not have it also. thanks for your help.
 
is the headset made for or compatible with a ps3, cuz if it comes with cell phone instructions u probably got the wrong one and its only compatible with cell phones and not a ps3
 
You need to go to the settings and then "bluetooth accessories" or something like that. Then it will look for your device (make sure its on) and it should find it no problem.
