how do you hardcore scream?

like, i know how to make it come from my stomach/chest area without using my vocal chords, but i dont understand what you use to distort it, or how you distort it to make it sound like a scream without using your throat? can someone help me out.
 
kay, the key is to practice, practice, practice. just try it, how ever you think your supposed to, and "pull" your voice up and down, and be LOUD or it wont work well. and have tea or milk or something soothing afterwords. or else you could loose it as i have. : (. and when you practice, make sure your alone so you dont scare anyone. lol.
