how do you hook up an amp to a headunit without preouts?

would like to hook up an amp to a sony bt2600 i think, which does not have pre outs. But I wanted to amplify to 6x9s at the back and a possible sub in the future. The radio is 4x55w output. Can this be done, and how many channels should the amp have?
