how do you judge popularity??

some people say they are popular, but what makes them popular. theier looks? athletic ability? academics? involvement?..etc? what makes someone popular and why? and why does it matter so much to be popular? personally i dont think im popular but i am a well rounded person and i do know a lot of people around school. i could care less about popularity, but why is it such a big deal?

the popular people at my school are the ones who are not afraid to be themselves and break free and do something different!
