How do you keep a dog from moving standing up?

My dog has a rash on his back in front of his tail. I need to put soap on it for it to get better, but how do you hold the dog properly to keep him from moving while standing up? Also, he his a medium sized dog. Also, how do i keep him from putting his butt to the ground when I wipe it off and put it on him?
 
If I had to put it on solo, I would attach a leash then wrap the leash so it goes under their belly. Basicly acts like a 3 point sling. You can get very creative with leashes, this is a similar method to how I give solo baths when all pup wants to do is sit.
 
Simple get some help . or take him to a groomer .
 
have someone hold his harness, if u dont have one.... i advise you to get one
