All you will need to is just connect the cable going to the jack in the room you want to the DirecTV receiver. Go into the diagnostic menu and look for signal strength.  (I am assuming that this outlet was already wired and ready to go)  Outside at the splitter put a cable connector on the wire going to the jack you want and connect it to the splitter.   If you get a signal on the DirecTV receiver you have the right wire. Unless you have a toner/tester it will be trial and error to determine which wire is the one going to your jack unless it is marked.</blockquote>
