How do you pair a bluetooth headset with a pc?

I got a gameshark headset which says it cn be used with pcs and phones as well as ps3 and I can't figure out how to pair it with anything else because it only says how to pair it with the ps3 in the instructions.
 
you have to have a bluetooth adaptor for your PC before your able to do it. once you do just put the headset in pairing mode and have your PC search for it.
