How do you pronounce rear, or rearing?

How do you pronounce rearing or rear (as in the action a horse does.) Do you pronounce it like rare, or rear (as in rear-view mirror)
(I am asking your personal preference of the pronunciation, or if you think you pronounce it the wrong way which way do you think is right)
interesting how everyone varies!
I also pronounce it like Rear as in rear view mirror, but have heard people pronounce it like rare and wondered if I had been pronouncing it wrong all these years! I wonder if it depends on where you are from?

short r then ear r-ear. Rearing same thing but add -ing. to it
