How do you remove center console on 2003 Ford Explorer?

I am trying to get the center console out so i can check the connection of the 12v power outlet. Both fuses for it are good so I assume the outlet is bad or not connected. I can not get the console to budge, I removed the screw under the rubber mat and it still will not come out. what am I missing. thanks.
