How do you restore a jailbroken iPhone back to Apple's 3.1.3 iOS?

Was just wondering how to go about restoring a jailbroken iPhone 3GS back to Apple's 3.1.3 iOS?

The iPhone iOS 3.1.3 version was backed up by SHSH software prior to jailbreak.

Also will the data on the iPhone be lost when restoring?
