How do you say no to an eBay seller (without offending them) who wants to sell you

outside eBay? I contacted a seller to inquire about an item. They replied and mentioned they had items that I ended up being more interested in. They said they want to 'do a paypal invoice". Am I protected in case it goes wrong? (Seller doesn't ship out for instance) Would I have to tell Paypal how I contacted them and would I get banned from PayPal & eBay if I did do an outside transaction?

I prefer to do it via eBay. How would you say no without implying "no I don't trust you" since they're trying to save on the outrageous paypal fees.
 
You need to tell them under no circumstances can you conduct business outside of ebay, and you can report them for asking you to do this. You have zero protection if you do, and this seller is a scam artist, there is no other reason for selling outside of ebay.
