How do you set up voicemail for the motorola c168i???

this is a new att go phone but i don't know how to set up the voicemail. when someone calls it says that this persons voicemail is not set up what do i do
 
call your own phone number with the area code first. Once you call your own number (NOTE: it must be from your cell phone), there will be a lady that will guide you through your voice mailbox setup. This will let you personalize your voice mail greeting.
