How do you stop Rumours?

Today when I got to school my best friends little sister walked up to me and asked why I slit my wrists. I asked her what she was talking about and she said some grade sevens (who hate me cause they say I dress like a slut. Which I don't. I wear jeans everyday) Told her I slit my wrists. Now I'm kind of upset. So how do you stop rumours?
