I have been really down this past few months, i find that im not coping at all i cry for no reason sometimes and other days i'll be fine and the next im a wreck... i know that i need to see the doctor but i just dont really know how to start the conversation, its like every thing annoys me.

a bit of advice would be great... even someone who has been or going threw the same thing.
thank you so much. x

( i am a mother of 2 one is 6 the other 4, )

just tell him/her what you told us in the question !!

remember doctors are 100% profesional and have heard it all before

good luck getting better !

You have to be honest and thorough. It isn't really conducive to just say you feel 'down'. Explain to the doctor the length of time you have felt like this and how severe it gets. Also, mention any sleeping problems and/or dietary changes (such as over-eating or under-eating - these usually appear with depression).

I expect he will ask some questions of his own and then it should be clear you are experiencing depression. Even an NHS doctor should either prescribe something (not ideal) and/or refer you to a counsellor (much better).

Best of luck.
