Ive been thinking and ive noticed that ps3 exclusives are around 25gb each but what does the extra 20gb do compared to 360 games i mean for example ratchet + clank TofD how does that use 20GB when i could imagine it on 360 it doesnt have ANY multiplayer, visuals are only 720p, its not very long, not many side-missions.
Where does that extra space go, to me its just a ps2 ratchet + clank with hd visuals.

Please how do ps3 games use so much space when there is no noticable affect on the game?
I don't lie 360 anyway and im definitely not a 360 fanboy im ps3 all the way i mean the only decent game on 360 is halo 3.

to put it simply IM NOT A FANBOY OF 360 never even had a 360 ive had every sony console ever made im more ps3 fanboy than 360 so get facts right befor callin me a fanboy

PS3 forever!!

Currently Bluray is used for larger textures (HD textures take more room) along with higher quality sound (7.1 lossless takes a lot of space).

Compared to the 360, where games are rendered in 600p or thereabouts and then upscaled by the hardware to 720p, the PS3 must natively render all of the images.

Also, the PS3 disc is used to store commonly used files. The PS3 Bluray Drive is only 2x Constant Linear Velocity, so it reads the edge of the disc as fast as the inside of the disc. The 360 uses a 8x DVD ROM drive that's Constant Angular Velocity. So the 360 reads the outside of the disc faster, the middle about the same, and the inside slower. By putting redundant data, the seek times are decreased (such as the case with Oblivion).

And there is a noticeable affect on games. Look at the Wii and then the PS3 and tell me there's no affect. How about the PS2 and the PS3?

In the next few years the difference will start to grow. Look at the leap Insomniac has done with Resistance 2 over Resistance 1, and that's just a year later.

Why don't you go back to playing on your xbox360, you fan boy. PS3 visuals are obviously better than the PS2, if you can't see that, your blind or haven't got a HD LCD TV!
