how does electromagnetic wave travel in space(vacuum)?

i know that change in E.F produces M.F and vice-versa but they are perpendicular to each other only, would it would have been that they are perpendicular and ahead, i can understand it's propogation one creating other ahead.
 
First, you must knowing that, "what is the electromagnetic wave ?"
It is wave such as light.
Then, "how can light travel through space?"
Because light is an electromagnetic wave..
Those questions are same !
Since you asking wave, so I will tell you about wave :
Wave is an energy carrier between two or more area.
Not like sound wave, sound wave is LW and only can travel via medium.
But light is TW which travel in a st.line but uncounted area.
