I have an iphone 4s with verizon and I am in france for the next 4 months. I have my celluar data turned off to restrict all data to wifi, but when I got to france my iphone automatically connected to the SFR carrier here in Paris. Im worried that there will be substantial charges to my phone, but if verizon and sfr have some sort of partnership, how will this work? Will i only be billed if i make calls within france?
Also, I have the global plan with verizon that says my parents can call me from the u.s. whenever they want and it will be free, as long as they call me. So how exactly does this all work with voice roaming internationally? im not using data except for wifi and Im not sending any texts/making calls. Can someone please explain, I've looked all over the internet! Thank you!
