Now, when I say that, I don't literally mean "change their religion". I am an atheist (I HATE that word, because I am very spiritual, it just doesn't involve having a god or belonging to a religion) and my girlfriend of 4 (since we were 15) years is a devoted christian. I respect her beliefs entirely, and would NEVER put them down. I am far beyond 'in love' with this girl, and I intend to spend the rest of my life with her.. How would that effect our relationship if I would much like to spend and ETERNITY with her? What can I do to come to a consensus with spiritual beliefs? I have a true spiritual connection with her, and I believe we are connected in such a manor. If someone could shed some light on the predicament I am in, it would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want her to believe that when we die--that's the end of the rode for us. I just don't believe in the place, 'heaven'. I realize that this isn't a direct question, so I am just asking for some feedback on what some folks think of the situation as a whole. Thank you for listening to me rant.
