We have a 6 ton boat, and use a steep grassy boat-ramp. Sometimes cars get stuck on the ramp, and don't have the traction to get up even without a trailer... but our Ford Explorer has always been able to pull our boat out and up the ramp without breaking a sweat.
I am curious as to how a Subaru would do in the same situation. I've always pictured Subaru SUVs (Tribeca and Forester) like cross-overs that wouldn't have the weight, muscle, and 4-wheel-low capability needed to tow a 6 ton boat around.
Just curious if anyone has experience with Subaru SUVs and what they're capable of.
Oops! Ya 6 tons is a little heavy did a bad conversion from pounds to tons... 2.45 tons is the boat, plus a trailer which itself will probably bring the empty weight of boat and trailer to about 3 tons...
