Just the beginning. Does is sound too teeny? It's for a teen magazine, but did I overdo it?

Feeling good on the inside usually means looking good on the outside, so why not glam your wardrobe up this summer? 2011 style is going to be 70s based with bodysuits, dresses with belts, and off-the-shoulder blouses with flowing skirts. Ladylike dresses are in with cropped jackets to complete the look.
Take your style on holiday with the tropical print dresses and tops, all adding to the summery feel.
Lace is going to be hot this summer, whether matched with other fabrics or on its own. However, too much can look unflattering, so make sure you choose just one item on lace!
It’s all about being bold, making a statement with bright colours from head to toe. Pick three bold colours and put them together, such as a neon yellow blouse, orange shorts and a bright green jacket. No need to accessories, except maybe makeup, hat, bag and/or a belt with high heel straps, bold sandals or colourful pumps.

TWO

TVs, radios, magazines, newspapers, sports, movies…Wherever you look, you aren’t far from seeing a familiar face – no, we don’t mean your mum or dad nagging you every five seconds – with celebrities having an influence on us from what we wear, what we say to even what we do.
With the media mostly focusing on the bad stuff celebrities create, it’s no wonder why so many teens try to mimic their actions. Some go as far as celeb diets (in other words, starving yourself) ‘till they become anorexic or have other eating disorders such as bulimia. With the media setting unrealistic standards of beauty, a lot of young adults feel unconfident and insecure about how they look and try to get the “perfect” body size.
Celebrities are constantly pushing the boundaries on how little they wear and what they do in music videos and live performances. With their faces plastered on advertisement products to help sell it, it just adds to the web of media we already see daily. Many celeb blogs and gossip sites provide indecent pictures of them that can be seen by anyone at any age.
Songs are very influential on young people. An example of gone-too-far would be Rihanna’s single S&M which features unsuitable lyrics and a very “heavy” video. Though being banned in 15 countries has kept it away from the very young audiences.
It is important for teens to have a good role-model as who teens are influenced by may determine who they become in the future. Having a good role-model will teach teens to be happy with themselves and to the right thing.
