OK my main character is Female "K" who has a fear of being told "I love you" Her once child hood best / high school rival/ ( they had a fight when little stop being friend and fought with each other for 8 years) male friend "Z" has had feeling for her since they were little. K had daddy issues and their forgotten dead friend "R" had feelings for Z. K knows Z has feelings for her but when he tries to confess to her she says or does something to "cock-block" him. she fears the three words, losing the relationship and over all just getting hurt. She rather admit she has a crush on another guy ( B) to B ( even though Z encouraged her to tell be think that B would not feel the same) she had to break her left ring finger behind her back in order to tell B she had a crush on him ( Z saw K break her finger) even in near death she is fighting with herself to just admit she has feelings for him . but once she hears him say " I Love you" she can't deny it any more and denies death to tell him how she feels for him. There is WAY more to it but this is a basic summary ( its very psychological) How is this for character conflict? What can I improve on? Even thought this is the main ( on has something to do) with the main plot I have a bunch of sub plots to keep the audience wondering. there is a lot of symbolism and more character with conflicts. Z had some too the breaking of the fingure is 1. symbolic 2. showing how much this fear controls her to the point on sever pain can distract her to say what she needs to. think how Z must feel seeing this? ( it adds to his conflict)
