How long does bittorrent usually take to download things?

I've never used it before so I'm curious.

I'm downloading a complete discography of the academy is right now and it's only on 0.2% and has been there for like ten minutes.

How long will this probably take?
 
Bittorrent should tell you inside it.

That would be an impossible question to answer otherwise because it depends on your internet connection, the size of the program, and the popularity(number of seeds).

When I download popular programs of 400 mb with more than 100 seeds, I often get transfer speees of 50-75 kb/s wihch take 4-6 hours.
 
Torrent downloads vary based on the number of Seeds (people hosting the file) and Leeches (other people downloading).

If you picked a file with few Seeds, your download will be extremely slow. Depending on what site you used to find the torrent, you can usually sort by Seeds to get the fastest download.

Your ISP may also be throttling (purposely slowing down) Bit Torrent traffic
