All the symptoms of Addison's Disease he's always had, but no vet has been able to find it in him before. He is home with us now, miraculously, because we were told he only had about a 10% chance of surviving. He is VERY weak to where he doesn't wanna walk or move and we feed him by hand, and he gets startled really easily, if anyone moves their leg or something at all he'll run away. How long will it take for him to regain his strength and get better? (I know Addison's isn't curable, I just want to know when he'll be feeling better.) Thanks!
My dog was just diagnosed with Addison's disease. He had been barfing in the past 2 days. We called the vet over and over and had visit after visit but the stupid vet kept saying nothing was wrong with him and he didn't think we needed a blood test. The third day came and he suddenly within 2 hours was completely brain dead, drooling and not able to move whatsoever. His eyes didn't seem to focus. We rushed him to the emergency vet where he soon after had a seizure, and our whole family was crying in the parking lot. It was terrible.. We were told he would definitely not survive if his kidney or liver was poisoned and we were all bawling as we waited for the test results. We love this little guy. It turned out his kidney and liver were fine and they diagnosed him with Addison's Disease, and what he had just had was an Addisonian Crisis.
