how many more miles can you drive when your vw bug convertible gas gauge is at

the top of the red zone? i'm driving my mom's car this week and the gas gauge is at the VERY top of the red zone. how much further can i drive until I need to get gas?
 
Probably about 10-20 miles, it just depends on the car. BUT, it is never good to drive a car with less than 1/4 of a tank of gas, it is bad for your fuel pump.
