Could someone please explain this to me. A question on one of my practice quizzes asked "How many valence electrons are on N3- (3 being a subscript and - being a superscript). I got 18, but it said the correct answer was 16. ?? help.
Okay. So basically instead of adding it to each atom. It gets added to the total? Thanks Much!
