How many years do you think it will take for Berserk (manga) to end?

I haven't even read it yet, but my friend is bugging me to read it or just even watch the Anime. I heard each chapter (20pages) comes out every 3 months or so, I can't stand the torture lol

My friend said Berserk isn't even close to finish, but doesn't that mean the mangka will die before finishing it?
