PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE LONG-@SS THING!
Before you start calling me horrible names, let me warn you now that I know very little about snowmobiles and I don't have much info about this one in particular.
Let me start off by telling you I bought this snowmobile from a co-worker whom I have worked with for over 3 years (hes my manager) who hadnt used it for a couple years. Hes a good guy, takes good care of his toys. I bought it sight-unseen back in January 2011. I still have never seen it, haha. I have a buddy who is a mechanic and he picked it up for me and fixed it up. It didn't need much, just a few things here and there to get it running clean.
+ 1987 Artic Cat (don't know the model)
+ Has a rebuilt engine with less than 300 miles on it, runs really strong
+ My mechanic buddy owns a few snowmobiles and says this one is in great shape for being an '87
+ No trailer, no cover, just the sled
Thats basically all I know
Money is really tight for us right now as we have had some unexpected high vet bills. I obviously didnt buy the sled just to sell it, but its looking like I might have to.
I would love some help pricing this sled. My buddy says its easily worth over $800. It is at his house now which is almost 200 miles from where I live, so going to take pictures of it would be a day-long thing. I dontt want to give up a day if I'm not going to get that much for it, you know?
I know how sketchy the details are, so I completely understand if you have to give me a broad price range. Basically, if I can get anything over $750 I will sell it, but $750 for a 1987 sled when its 90 degrees outside might not happen. I cannot wait to sell in the colder months because I need the money now. I live in Upstate NY, snowmobiling is HUGE out here.
I really appreciate your time and knowledge, it will help me a ton. ANY information will benefit me so don't hold anything back!
I will be checking for answers often and MOST DEFINITELY will be awarding a best answer, I wont just forget about this question.
THANKS A LOT!!
