Ive got a new stereo and i want to extend the speakers about three metres away and the cords going from the stereo to the speakers are not long enought. I was wondering how to install extention cords and how much they would cost? The stereo is a slim line TDK stereo about $170

Speaker cable can vary on price depending on the quality you're looking for, but for that stereo, i'd say you can get a spool of the low-middle end stuff - about 50 ft (roughly 16 meters) for less than $30 (or maybe 20 Euro?) Installing it should be as simple as detaching the cable from the back of the stereo and speakers by the clip or plunger and installing the new one. In the event that the speakers and stereo are wired together with no visible release, you could either open up the speaker and cut original wire and solder in the new one, doing the same with the stereo if you wanted - or just cut the original wire, strip the casing and twist it together with the new wire and tape the twisted connections separately (to avoid creating a short) and then together to avoid the wires separating or snagging on anything. Hope this helps!
