found this bumper in the woods with tons of empty rusted paint thinner cans. its in decent shape, its chrome but in some spots the crome is scraoed off but theres like hardly any rust. like it would be easy to restore cause its not pitted or anything
depends on how "early".
Some can fetch about $600. But you are probably looking at $50. Scraped off chrome is not as "easy to restore" as you might think. There's always that several-hundred-dollar rechroming fee, which separates the $50 bumpers from the $600 ones.
It depends on how old it is. The older, the more it'd be worth. I would check craigslist to find similar parts for a vehicle close to how old you believe it is, and base your estimate on that. Then for convenience, if you're planning on selling it, you're already on craigslist!
It depends on exactly what it's off of. Reproduction bumpers are available for many of the popular early Fords from the 20s on up for about $300. If a reproduction of your bumper is available yours is worth next to nothing. It wouldn't be worth reconditioning.
