how much does a blackberry pearl cost with out any service just the plain phone?

and i am a verizon wireless user and i was wondering if i can switch the contract with my phone that im using currently and put it in the blackberry

I have no clue how much Verizon's price is but you can get them for $300-$350 on ebay.
