how much does it cost to declaw a cat?

I heard of this proceadure where they glue the cats claws in or something down that line. Can anyone tell me more about that.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO WHINE THAT IT'S CRUEL I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. I'LL JUST REPORT YOU FOR NOT ANSWERING MY QUESTION.
Also if it was cruel why would the humane societys have it done and/or tell the people who got cats from them to get it done if it was humane.
 
Anywhere from about $100-$200 for front feet. Not sure about all 4. Most vets will only do the front claws as a safety precaution. Country/small town vets tend to be a little cheaper and they generally provide better care for your pet.
