Whenever I am done having a smoke. I will come inside and sit next to my cat. She then proceeds to give my hands a thorough licking. She only does it after I smoke a cigarette, so I only assume it's the nicotine attracting her. At first I thought it was cute and kind of funny.

I read nicotine can be really harmful in cats (obviously, right?). Something like 5 milligrams of nicotine per pound of body weight is the toxic level. Which comes back to my question: How much nicotine is left on the hands after smoking a cigarette?
